Mother-Daughter trip from Rome to Southern Italy | Part three - Amalfi Coast

Positano, Italy

From Pompeii my mom, Cindy, and I headed straight to Sorrento. Making it just in time for sunset!

Massimo, with Sorrento Silver Star, dropped us off at our hotel, La Tonnerella. They assumed we were a couple on our honeymoon (probably because same last names booking online, a room for two, and it's known as one of most romantic spots), so they reserved a suite for us with THE most dreamy terrace overlooking the sea. Hands down the most beautiful view of any place I've ever stayed (we didn't want to leave).

We took so many photos and video (can't wait to share these!) during our time in Italy. Most of these are shot with a Canon 5d markiv camera body, and these canon lenses - 24mm 1.4L, 50mm 1.2L, tilt-shift 45mm 2.8, and 85mm 1.2L. I also brought some fuji400h and portra 400 film with my medium format Contax 645.

Wisteria in bloom (our terrace, it's huge!)

A magical view back toward our hotel as we walked down for dinner.

April 8, 2017 | DAY 4 -

Massimo picked us up at 9am and we were off to explore the Amalfi coast!

Positano

Found a pup that looked just like Wolfgang. Made me miss my Wolfie (pictured above left).

Ravello

More Gelato! (lemon is my favorite flavor)

Villa Rufolo, Ravello

After visiting Ravello we headed back, stopping at this prime photo spot - looking back at Positano and in the distance Amalfi & Ravello.

We got back to our hotel around 6pm and called it a night. A day of winding around cliffside roads along the Amalfi coast put us right to sleep. The next morning we headed back to Rome.
